| Changes to the Citizenship Test & Residence Requirements Changes to the Citizenship Test that will occur on 19 October 2009 will focus on the commitments in The Pledge of Commitment rather than being a general knowledge quiz about Australia. A free citizenship test resource book is available on the Citizenship website. Amendments to the Citizenship Act will add two special residence requirements for certain people who are not able to meet the general residence requirements for Australian citizenship due to their international travel commitments.
