Certain visa applicants in Australia are required to undergo medical examinations as part of their visa application process. These medicals are conducted by Health Services Australia (HSA).

From 1 February 2010 Health Services Australia (HSA) will begin trading as Medibank Health Solutions.

There will be no increase in the number of locations. The 13 current locations of HSA offices will continue offering immigration services. With the exception of the Parramatta location, all telephone numbers and addresses will remain the same.

We have been informed that “Changes to departmental forms and relevant IT systems will not take place immediately. Therefore, current forms will be able to be used and will be accepted by Medibank Health Solutions until they are able to be changed.” We would be surprised if this is not another government ploy to increase fees – watch this space.
