If you have a successful background in owning or managing a business or investments, and you would like to engage in business or investment activity in Australia, you may be eligible for a business visa.
New applicants must apply through the Business Innovation and Investment Program, which was introduced in July 2012. This program includes provisional and permanent business visas.
The requirements are complex and may vary based on a range of factors such as your business attributes (ie: turnover and assets), your proposed activities in Australia and your intended place of residence in Australia. All new applicants must be nominated by an Australian state or territory government.
The majority of new applicants must also meet a points test. Points are awarded based on factors such as age, qualifications, business experience, net assets and English language ability.
If you applied for a provisional business visa prior to July 2012 and you are now seeking to obtain permanent residence, we can also assist you with your visa application.
